The Education pack
This Education pack for schools ties in with the primary teaching curriculum (UK) for science, RE and other subjects and links to the work of A Rocha and Climate Stewards.
The pack can be used anywhere in the world, at schools, after school clubs and within environmental education programmes. All themes, scientific explanations and activities are internationally relevant.
In the pack there are sixteen lesson themes about science, climate, wildlife, social justice and faith topics. The themed lessons follow the book Science Geek Christy and her Eco-logbook. There is a lesson for each of Christy’s blogs, in which she explores big topics like climate change, food waste, plastic pollution and farming, but also rainforest wildlife, bats and echolocation, glow-in-the dark bacteria, whales and dodos. Christy writes about her eco-heroes, from Saint Francis to Greta Thunberg, and how young people take action to build a sustainable world.

The Explore Creation pack
The Explore Creation resources were created over the past ten years and were fully updated in 2021. They have been used at different UK churches and schools. They loosely follow Genesis 1, where God forms and fills the earth.
The themes are:
Life in the dark
Life in the sky
Life with leaves
Life in the water
Life on the land
Caring for life
Church sessions combine an outdoor explore with Bible stories, crafts and games. Schools can host the whole programme as a 90 minute workshop for all year groups, with themed ‘Life’ stations and a plenary about ‘Caring for life’ at the end. Both formats can be downloaded for free from the Resources section. You can suggest to the participants that they read the eco-adventure novel Science Geek Christy and her Eco Logbook alongside the programme, or run a Science Geek Christy book club.
Praise from teachers and students who have used the packs:
